I tried that too but it didn’t work out. (Surprised, anyone?) I just ended up being mean fat jerk who couldn’t tell if it’s hockey of soccer season (of Formula 1). Lesson learned, a mistake undone.

OMG! How do you know my life and exactly what I looked like (down to the hair color and length, beard, and gut)?!?! Seriously, though, I love this comic!

I remember trying to be extremely girly in middle school. It didn’t stick. And I was miserable.

Why does being male entail getting fat?

When you stop caring about your body completely, that’s usually what happens. 😀

Yeah, but that is not a male trait, that’s just being lazy.

All of the things she does here are stereotypical male behaviours. If you are playing a role, you may not get everything right. In lots of movies and tv programs, guys are always sitting around in lazy clothes watching movies and scratching themselves.

And also, guy/girl pairings are often culturally attractive female + slovenly, overweight guy. It’s a media thing. When you don’t know what to do, you draw on what you see.

The point isn’t that it’s a male trait, it’s that the character stopped taking care of herself. This is a very common symptom of depression which is a very common symptom of GID.

GID is not in the DSM-5. Gender identity is not a disorder. Dysphoria what’s in there now.

I discovered this comic late, and it’s now my crush. Please don’t stop making it! I’ve got a ton of questions to be answered here, and I love the content and artwork.

I was gonna go to Haiti as a Private Military Contractor, and I’d never been in any branch of the armed forces. (I had some really crazy friends…)

    I tried to do that….
Almost drank myself to death just to get through the day.

I don’t drink now, lesson learned.

Awww oh no, the memories of my denial coming back. When I was shorter than now, I tried so hard to live up to expectations. From lifting big rocks, to getting avoiding anything pink. Oddly enough, I never had a crush, drove a car, or watched sports. I always secretly wishes I could magically become a girl, and simply waited until I was over 21 before I finally realized that I was a girl all along.

You should have seen my full on long beard I had last year, it did make me very viking like (I’m Icelandic). I guess it was a mix of getting the perfect disguise and as a silly hobby. My clean face and long hair is a lot more me. 🙂
I’m early on in my process, just two visits to the head of the trans team, some more and then hopefully the whole process of transitioning.

Still having trouble fully taking care of myself, but this resonates SO much with me.
