Introvert syndrome
on 23/09/2014
More like paranoid syndrome, really. I can’t help but imagine how a future conversation with someone else will go, and to rehearse it in my head a couple times before it actually happens. And now that I have to do it with my female voice, there’s even more rehearsing to do.
I knon’t dow why, but I think spoonerisms are hilarious.
Waited impatiently to read another one.And it happened to me more than once xD this comic is awesome not only because it’s funny but for all the background.Keep up the good work and stay happy ^-^ :3
Oh, gods. This is half of why I didn’t have any sort of social life for a long time.
I get that when using my ‘female voice’….then I do that (including all the practice). Get the sound right and totally mangle the words……
BAHAHHA I did this years ago, in Germany. . .was so full of myself to ask in german for seven pretzels. . (sieben), asked for semen, and relieved in for years.
*on floor laughing so hard the cats are staring at me like I’m a nut* This is priceless. 🙂
So do you dus a brive also? Or brive a dus?
Please keep the stories coming! It’s these totally relatable and sometimes images that I hope are in my future that keeps my sense of humor in these last three months until I reach the age of majority intact!
love the comic, do more of them! 🙂
Goodness YES!! {giggle}
So much yes this happens regular particularly on the phone!
I feel this so much, especially the reliving part, it sounds a lot like my social anxiety. (That is actually really serious, and I somehow didn’t figure out until a month ago.)
I’m sure this is an introvert thing. I replay my embarrassments in my head over and over. Sometimes things from my distant past show up and KA-BLAMO! Awkward Theatre all night long.
Hehe, reminds me of a German joke: Someone from Northern Germany tries to learn the Suebian (a Southern German) dialect and rehearses the one sentence over and over („I hätt gern a Weckle, des rêsche dô!“ – “I’d like a roll, this crisp one there!”), goes into a shop and says it. Immediately they get asked „Oh, are you from Northern Germany?“ – „How did you know, what did I say wrong?“ – „This is a butcher’s.“ 😀
